New Year Consert 31st Dec 2009

At 4:00 p.m. enjoy the traditional concert in the mountain chapel 600 meter from Venabu fjellhotell.

The performers are Ida and Olaug Furuæter from Venabygd,

both playing  folk music. 

After the concert we walk back to the hotel with torches to get something hot to drink before New Year dinner and the evening program.

4 pm Enjoy the different types of folk music.  One of the performers is Olaug Furusæter, fiddle.  Local girl playing on a national level, having won many competitions.

Entrance NOK 100,-.  After the concert we walk back to the hotel with torches in the dark evening.

2009 - How to take better pictures?  Digital photo course, with English speaking teacher.

2 days' course for people who are used to taking pictures, but want to learn more about how to use the many possibilities of the digital camera.  2nd and 3rd July, from 9-14 both days.  Price NOK 500,- per person.  Meals and stay in supplement.

Many different courses through the year, but in Norwegian.

Peer Gynt open air play 2009

Fantastic open air scene at Gålå, 45 minutes drive from Venabu.  A very spectacular play about the drama Peer Gynt by Henrik Ibsen.  Professional actors and amateurs.  Last week of July and first week of August - Venabu has tickets and we also have English and German speaking guide.
