Riding weekend 2010

A weekend on horseback in fabulous nature with good food and company

(weekends - 18th June to 20th August 2010)

Come and experience our local area on horseback, combined with accommodation at a friendly, family-run hotel, good food and a relaxing atmosphere.

Programme:

Friday: Arrival

Arrival to buffet in the evening at 7 pm. Information meeting with the guides and the other participants about 8.30pm. A chat about the program and meet your horse. Social time & relaxation.

Saturday: Whole day trip with open fire lunch in the mountains

The trip goes in beautiful mountain terrain, over summits with views towards Jotunheimen & Rondane national parks. After three hours we build a fire and cook our lunch and coffee over it. After lunch it’s a two hour ride back to the hotel. In the evening we enjoy a good three course meal. Our resident musician plays dance music and we get a chance to loosen up those tense muscles.

Sunday: Half day summit trip

Check out of the hotel before riding trip. We take another half day on horseback to one of the local mountain summits. We make lunch packet and refill of thermos at breakfast. Chance to use showers at hotel. Afternoon free for a walk in the mountains, fishing or bathing. We also offer cycles & canoes for hire.

Participants & experience

You should have some riding experience, and be happy in a good trot on horseback. This program is designed for riding families, groups of friends, and those who enjoy riding in mountain surroundings, combined with a good hotel stay with a relaxing atmosphere and good food.

Age groups

Minimum age 12 (10 for experienced riders).
Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
