Roast Norwegian moose
served with potato gratin, fried mushrooms, over-baked carrots, steamed romanseco*, red wine sauce and homemade lingonberry jam

with hot smoked chicken, crispy bacon, parmigiano reggiano and home-baked flatbread

Oven-baked trout
served with boiled potatoes, baked vegetables, spinach, cucmber salad and Sandefjord butter.

Trout roulade

served with seasonal green salad and homemade rye bread croutons

Chicken breast

served with Parmentier potatoes, baked onions, pea puree and homemade sauce

served with asparagus, seasonal salad, remoulade and local flatbread

Panfried mountain trout

served with new potatoes, onion stew, cucumber salad and sour cream sauce.

Greek-inspired salad

Green salad with feta cheese, tomatoes, green beans, potatoes and olives

Slow-braised lamb shank
served with ratatouille, mashed potato and braising juices

Beetroot and fennel soup

with sour cream, dill and local flatbread

Halibut fillet
with lyonnaise potatoes, carrots, crushed peas and hollandaise sauce.

We like to share the food traditions of our area and to support local producers. We use local ingredients as often as possible.

The menu described may vary a little, if we are unable to source specific ingredients, for a short time. However, you will always eat well at Venabu!
