Take some time out for yourself. At Venabu Fjellhotell we offer weekend breaks, courses and holidays in yoga, Tai Chi and mindfulness. Venabu´s peaceful location in the mountains, on the edge of the Rondane National Park, makes it the ideal place to relax and unwind.
Yoga combines movement and breathing with mental relaxation techniques, and helps you find balance physically, mentally and emotionally. At Venabu you’ll find summer and winter yoga weekends and yoga classes during the main holiday seasons. We also offer combined yoga and riding holidays for both beginners and experienced riders. The courses are delivered in English.
Developing mindfulness can benefit us in many ways including stress reduction, better sleep, better focus and clarity and improved relationships. You will learn practices to settle a busy mind and be in the present moment, with kindness and self care.
Tai Chi is an ancient martial art where the movements are based on traditional Chinese medicine. Important cornerstones are mental focus with relaxation. Tai Chi uses flowing movements to create good posture and harmony in the body. Our Tai Chi courses also incorporate Qi Gong – gentle movements aimed at increasing circulation and mobility in the tissue.
Time spent in nature has many benefits for our bodies and our minds. These are complemented by yoga, mindfulness and Tai Chi. Experiences like these can help us to reconnect with ourselves in nature.

Tai Chi for Fibromyalgia
A practical course tailored to participants with fibromyalgia or other musculoskeletal conditions. The course is taught by Brynjulf Haugan – instructor and acupuncturist. Brynjulf has 25 years experience and has specialised in the treatment of and training for fibromyalgia.
Tai Chi and Qi Gong can help you develop a stronger core, smoother connective tissue, reduced pain and greater energy.
This course is taught in Norwegian.
