Haugbu South

Haugbu offers flexible accommodation for a large family or group of friends. The property can be rented as a whole or be divided into two: Haugbu North and South.

Haugbu is our largest cabin. Like all our traditional log cabins it has been carefully designed to give a comfortable home away from home feel. It has a total of 150 sqm and can be rented in its entirety or as two separate cabins: North and South. Altogether Haugbu accommodates up to 11 people, making it ideal for a large family holiday or for a large group of friends to spend time together. When rented as one large cabin there is plenty of space around the dining table for everyone to eat together.

A well behaved dog is welcome at Haugbu.

Great space – amazing view

The name Haugbu derives from «haug» which means top and «bu» which refers to a cabin or shelter. Haugbu sits at the top of our peaceful, car free cabin area. It has a fantastic view of Venabygdsfjellet and, the area’s most distinctive mountain, Muen.

Haugbu North is the larger part of the property, sleeping up to 7 guests. Rented individually, Haugbu North is suited to a family with up to 5 children or a group of friends. Haugbu North has its own sauna.

Haugbu South can accommodate up to 5 guests, such as a family with 3 children, 2 couples or a small group of friends.

Guests who would like to rent the whole cabin should book both Haugbu North and South for their dates.

The cabin is a few minutes walk from Venabu Fjellhotell. This gives guests their own space and access to all the services and activities that the hotel has to offer. The opportunities offered by the hotel and the cabin’s flexible layout make it well suited to a family cabin holiday.
