Winter yoga weekend at Venabu Fjellhotell

Take care of your body and give yourself a break from the everyday. Venabu’s winter yoga weekend creates such a break, along with the opportunity to explore this beautiful winter landscape: on skis or on snowshoes.

Revitalise: mentally and physically. The weekend’s program is designed as an introduction to yoga. You will discover a range of yoga styles and how each one supports the elements of good health. Our thoughtful yoga teacher, Ann Kristin, adapts her classes to suit the group members and how everyone is feeling at the time.

You will be well looked after: the hotel is comfortable and the food is delicious. We are happy to cater for a variety of diets, vegetarians and vegans are welcome! Please let us know in advance if you have particular dietary requirements.

Venabu is easily accessible from Oslo, making a weekend visit easy, for more information visit our travel page.

Join us for a cosy winter weekend of health and relaxation. Alternatively, you could add this yoga weekend on at the end of our Classic Cross Country Skiing Holiday to make a complete holiday: for body and mind.

Meet Ann Kristin:

I found yoga at the turn of 2019-2020 with Nøsen Yoga. There, for the first time, I experienced a practice that was not about achievement but rather generosity and breath: to explore the body and accept everything that I find on and off the mat. This was my turning point towards a life with yoga.

What I wish to convey is that yoga can offer you a room to find your breath and presence in your own body. Yoga is more than asanas (postures) on the mat, yoga is a lifestyle. Welcome to the mat for a break from an hectic day to day life. Namaste!

Ann Kristin teaches in English and Norwegian.

What our guests say:

“Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in wonderful surroundings and absolutely beautiful food. Thank you so much for helping to make my first yoga retreat so incredibly special!”

More about yoga

Yoga has its roots in ancient Indian philosophy, over 5000 years ago. Yoga practice is said to take care of the body, mind and soul. Since its origins yoga has developed many different strands and styles. These use a variety of poses, breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation practices. The different styles of yoga may use these in different combinations.

How can yoga benefit you?
